Some old and something new for this update. The old is the Karin review from the previous website, and a review of Death Note, both by me.

Soon we enter the very merry month of May and will be having one or two fun social events.

Firstly on May 10th we have the monthly Saturday showing, this month is another Games event so practice your button mashing. We will be starting slightly earlier than usual this month and running from 10am through till 2pm. price is as usual

On the 11th of may (yes thats the day after the Saturday showing) is a movie trip to see the new film Vexille

Directed by Fumihiko Sori (Ping Pong), co-written by Sori and Haruka Handa (Appleseed), and featuring the vocal talents of Meisa Kuroki (One Missed Call) and Akio Otsuka (Ghost In The Shell), the epic VEXILLE is a stunningly realized production that takes CG imagery and animated photo-realism to a never-before-seen level of brilliance.

An action-packed, vividly rendered fantasy adventure featuring a pair of heroines who prove that the girls can kick butt just as hard as the boys, VEXILLE’s mind-blowing visuals are further enhanced by the accompaniment of a pounding musical score by international DJ Paul Oakenfold (who also scored Appleseed) and tracks by artists such as Basement Jaxx, DJ Shadow, Underworld, Asian Dub Foundation, the Prodigy, Boom Boom Satellites, Dead Can Dance and M.I.A.

Time for this is to be confirmed and depends which cinemas are showing it

In addition on a date yet to be confirmed I hope we can go see the new Speed Racer Movie but for that we will have to wait and see.

Hoping to see you all there

 IanR
