Date: 25th July 2009
Time: Meeting at DCC @ 07:00 or Bunkers @ 10:00

First came the trip to Skegness with the hobo with his tin of pea and exploding sake, then came Wales with it's floods and softball in the rain. Last year was the blazing sun and surf, what will this year hold, hopefully more good weather but deferentially a great time for all.

Yes folks the epic that is The NAMSoc Beach Trip returned for it's fourth year in a row. This year will be run much like last with a trip up to Yorkshire for a beach in the morning / early afternoon followed by a local town for the rest of the afternoon and evening. The beach we're heading for is known as Cayton Bay, or locally Bunkers, it's a nice sandy beach that tends not to get too packed and is good for both surfers and swimmers. There is a shop with toilets, showers, food, drink and beach hire in the car park above the beach and lots of sand and fun on the beach, just look out for the Bunkers. Then we'll head up the coast about 30 miles to Whitby, most famous for Dracula and the Goth Weekend, there we'll have tea, and wander round the town until everyone feels like going home.

If you wish to come along please speak to F1r3Wire at one of the NAMSoc Screenings, if you are intending to drive up there then really please speak to hir so sie can try and give you passengers to help sperd the fuel costs.

Time Start meeting up at 12:00 to go in at 12:45

A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, “Watchmen” is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the Doomsday Clock—which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union—moves closer to midnight.

Based on the Comic book by Alan Moore this looks like being quite an interesting film.
