Written by F1r3Wire on Sunday, 21 September 2008 The Date: November 15th Two Thousand and Eight That’s right, the one thing that can strike fear into the hearts of even the bravest anime fan has returned, the twice yearly NAMSoc bonfire party is back for it’s winter instalment. The resident pyro crew will be making the biggest fire they can with whatever they can lay their hands on, after a long absence fireworks will be making a welcomed return. F1r3Wire’s bar will be making a return with new more random cocktails than the bar person, the BBQ crew will be attempting to feed the ravenous masses. There will be socialising, music, randomness and fun for all. …and watch out for the exploding Pikachu mk II, as the first one suffered from premature ignition.
Written by F1r3Wire on Thursday, 14 August 2008 NAMSoc Beach Trip - 13/09/08 Okay, first things first, cross everything you've got for good weather. When: 13th of September 2008 Where: Crayton Bay (aka Bunkers), Yorkshire The Plan: Well, like me, it's a bit free and easy, basically get a pile of us together and head for the seaside. We'll meet up at the DCC about 07:00 and head for Crayton Bay, it's about a two and a half hour drive, depending on how you drive, so hopefully arriving about 11:00. Then if we've got good weather we'll spend a few hours on the beach doing beachy things, I believe we still have the rounders and volleyball stuff or there's the old favorite watermellon bashing - BYOWM (Bring your own watermellon), and have a picnic lunch. You'll also get to see Fire trying to drown hirself, I'm going in the sea no matter what the weather. The come evening a short trip up to Scab for tea and arcades before heading home. Travel: There are several people going in cars, if they can post how many they can take and a rought guess at cost for fuel other can poke them for lifts. Payment for lifts is between drivers and passengers, but it probabally won't be much. Well that's the plan who's with me? For more information please see the forums.
