Place Outside the Cornerhouse

Time Start meeting up at 12:00 to go in at 12:45

A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, “Watchmen” is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the Doomsday Clock—which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union—moves closer to midnight.

Based on the Comic book by Alan Moore this looks like being quite an interesting film.

For February we're organising an all you can eat meal, followed by a trip to the cinema, then followed by that old faithful the pub. The plan is to meet by the Left Lion in the square between half twelve and one, then we'll wander down Hockly to the Red Hot buffet for an all you can eat (treat it as a personal challenge if you must). The Red Hot buffet is one that serves food from all over the place so it's everything from Indian, to Chinese, to Italian, to standard British food, so there should be something for everyone.

After we're all fed we'll reconvene to a pub (TBA but probably the Pit & Pendulum) for a few drinks and fun, then we'll spilt up, for those that want some are going to to the corner house to catch the twenty past four showing of Valkyrie, and for those who can't really be bothered with a film we'll stay in the pub.

After the film we'll then wander back to another pub (probably the Johnson) for more drinks and socialising.
