This is the official submission thread for the wallpaper competition.

Following up on the announcement last night, the details are as follows -

- Please use colours, as we don't want to burn black and white images onto the projectors lens.
- Whether drawn, and scanned, or photoshopped from an original image, it must be anime/manga related.
- Original images drawn in the manga style are O.K!
- Do not submit entries that are not your own creation! (We have ways of checking they're yours)
- The ratio must be 4:3, or as close as possible, if you don't mid it being a bit stretched. Preferrably 1024x768 pixels.
- Please keep images clean. While you may enjoy a bit of "H", others may not. (Send all your "H" wallpapers to me! ^_~)
- A maximum of 1 entry per person, per month, and 5 entries in total will be accepted. Any surplus will be carried over to the next month.
- If there are not enough submissions for the month, the numbers will be made up of runners up from previous months.

Entries must be submitted by the end of April.

The winner, as judged by yourselves, will receive a free box of Pocky, or Mikado if we can't get any of the good stuff, and will have their wallpaper on the screen for the next month!

Hope you update to Windows 7 on the machine sometime, so you can have rotating wallpapers

Try linking from an external file source. I use PhotoBucket or ImageShack

I'll see if I can't find a copy of Windows 7 somewhere cheap - there's a few odd deals now and again and the Home version is pretty cheap (I never bother since I have Win7 now myself, the stupidly priced pro version, heh) - I'd pay for it of course, just because I hate seeing outdated software

Might play DVD's better too, hahaha.

Really bizarre to state that here, but there we go, at least some way I can help, heh.

Only thing I'd state though is put it in the Basic theme...keeps popping up with that when video plays, hehe

The question is rhetorical. It's a very kind offer, but no thanks, so please don't put yourself out of pocket, especially since the club can easily afford it - we'd rather spend on something worth while. The point is, it's a lot of money to spend needlessly. There is no reason why we should change the OS on a PC that never gets used to it's fullest potential. DVD playback problems are more than not likely caused by copy protect issues, and file playback issues are due to out of date codecs - problems we'd have with any other OS. Besides, when we first got the PC, we agreed not to mess with it's workings, after the problems we had last time. Again, thanks, really, but no thanks.

Back to the subject, please.
