Hi, I'm eighteen and am quite shy so as a pre-emptive strike, I've joined the forum to get a feel of the group. Please take me under your wing and show me the anime ropes!
Is there anybody else who likes bleach, naruto, death note, she the ultimate weapon, the original seires of Dragon ball z, the film Tokyo god fathers, or studio ghibli (Gotta love howls moving castle and spirited away!)? Also are there any suggestions of anime I just gotta watch?

I'd sure like to see She the Ultimate Weapon. One of those ones I never got around to buying, then disappeared before I got around to it. Seen a fair share of Studio Ghibli films, although I have missed the last couple. I'm told I didn't miss much with Earthsea, but would have liked to have seen Ponyo.

You'll get some anime recommended to you tonight, if you come along. It'll be easier to find out your tastes then.

I thunk Tales of earthsea was okay if your into the whole dragon/grumpy teenage girl characters. But I really enjoyed going on tuesday, (me the kid in a lot of black) The people I drudged up the courage to speak to were really friendly! Though i totally should have brought pokemon beforehand! I hope to speak to more people next week! I need Id before i can have a proper drink at the pub, tho!

The anime for Zombie Loan kinda just ends...think it stopped half way through.

You might be into Higurashi, worth watching if you like some weird psychological horror stuff.

Don't worry about getting alcohol at the pub. Most of us just get a soft drink anyway, so don't let that put you off coming.

Anyway, sorry for not being able to talk at all. We were very busy setting up, as we'd lent some equipment to another group, and had to re-wire the amp and speakers, along with the normal set up. Top that off with our Treasurer going home to get some well deserved rest, leaving me to sort out payments, which meant my time for socializing was very close to zero.

I'll back up the call on Higurashi no Naku Koroni, but will warn you, without mentioning anything, that it's not for the squeamish! I'm no good when it comes to recommendations for horror, though, as I tend to go for nice, bright, happy things, or things that at least have elements of these. I do own, but so far have only very briefly watched Princess Resurrection, which looked very promising. Regarding fighting, though, I can recommend Tenjho Tenge and Air Master.

Well nice to meet* you, I am relatively new myself, only been going about 4 weeks or so. If you have anime you want to watch that aren't being shown, I can download them onto disk or USB, I download series constantly lol (And kudos on the Might Boosh!)
