Hi there!

I know we have a few gamers at the club, or more specifically, Role Players, LARPers and people who own dice with more than six sides. With this in mind, would anyone be interested in a games night?

Possible games include:

Anime themed RPGs: Guardians of Order did a fair few of these before they closed their doors, this would be the perfect time to give them a try.

Paranoia: My personal favourite RPG. Its a game of insane computers, rapid fire slapstick, merciless backstabbing, pop culture parody and happiness enforced on pain of death.

A Slayers based game of Dungeons and Dragons.

Card games like Magic: The Gathering, Flux and Munchkin.

Or whatever people feel like running....

Anybody up for this?

I've not played P&P stuff in ages, I'd love to try Paranoia - the RPG Soc at the Uni do things on Thursday but I'm busy then! heh.

Yep, I'd be up for something. I've not played BESM for a very long time, but I remember it working pretty well, and I love Paranoia. Not too sure about Slayers D&D, it could be a lot of fun, but I have a hunch it would be likely to end up being just another hack and slash game (which personally I dislike).

Oh, yeah, I totally meant to say I'd be up for anything new as long as it was a night that wasn't Wednesday or Thursday. I've dabbled in 3.5E D&D, but not much else tbh (few board games here and there mainly).

So, I could only bring D&D 3.5E books to the table as such, and dice, I have dice!

Is this going to be a one-off or regular thing? Problem being, if it was regular, I guess it'd not be at the same place the Anime club is...unless there are funds for this (it costs right?) or we charged or something? Or would it be more informal or something?

Weeeellll, Andrew, this all in the early planning stages, so questions like when, where, and how much, have yet to be answered. At the moment I am just gauging interest, so we sort we can sort those things out. Most likely though, its going to be a one off, something which Paranoia is fairly good for, and its not going to be on a Thursday. As for your offer of D&D and dice, thanks. If we get a decent-sized group we are going to need all the rule books and dice we can get our hands on
