I don't think that quite justifies it, I mean, it appears it's very plot device when a ship bothers to actually take down another ship (they seem so flimsy too, heh), it's more just uber for the sake of plot, heh. Also any form of cannon warfare never had this kind of close-range action, where point blank firing would take down entire fleets...military tactics so far have been non-existent to fantastical, but I expected nothing less

It's also like they wanted a cool land battle with troops but didn't want to do it, well, on land! Ah well

Hopefully it'll get better. Those kind of explosives (for whatever reason...) they have are fine at long range (ie; the prologue part of episode 1), I hope it's a little less "line up and shoot at each other" and more badass "run in and shoot shit up because that wins" attitudes

One other thing, a little (nay, a lot) nitpicky but I'm also fascinated by how they think that because water is clear it's safe to drink. From guys who boil their water normally. Kinda insane if a lead character gets sick because he drinks water from a random source without boiling it first
