Last Watched Series (No Spoilers, please) 2 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
What was the last series that you watched and completely finished? You can also include a small review as well as how many episodes the series was and how long it took you.

Eden of the East - 11 Episodes in 7 days
I know that 11 eps in 7 days isn't that fast, but originally I was trying to make it last as long as possible, but eventually it just got to be too good to hold back, and I ended up rushing through it. It's an amazing series, though. Unfortunately it goes by way too quickly. You'll be wanting a 24 episode season when you get to around episode 8 or so since everything starts happening so fast at the end. Thankfully there are two movies on the way! I definitely recommend this series.

Soul Easter - 51 Episodes in 15 days
I'll be honest, I didn't like Soul Eater when I first watched it. The first 3 episodes just seemed stupid to me. However, when I persevered and watched passed those episodes, it got amazing quickly. The best that I can do is describe it by being a mix between Fullmetal Alchemist, Harry Potter, and something quirky like Hayate no Gotoku. It's got a lot of action, comedy, and some hints at romance if you're into that. =P I definitely recommend this series. ^^ I believe it hit my top 10.

Clannad

24 Eps:

It took me about 1-2 days to watch it, from the first episode i got competely hooked. Im a very sentive lad so i didnt want it to end. Its the perfect anime if you like slice of life. The characters are all different and theres always a story behind it. Each episode is worth watching and there is no episodes which is full of time wasting crap. watch it now and discover your soft side!

Clannad: After story

24/25 eps:

i nerli died when i found this, my favourite anime had a second season to it! its abit different from the first series but all the characters are the same, you must watch this if you have seen the first one! this took me a day to watch all the episodes. I literally spent a day sitting on my comp watching it! I've watched it about 5 times now and is still my favourite anime.

Phantom: requiem for the phantom

22 Eps so far, its an ongoing anime:

This is an anime about guns and assasinations, im not really into this sort of anime genre but it really kept me wanting to watch more, the next episode comes out next week and im dying to watch it. Its full of drama and unexpected plots and it keeps you guessing on whats going to happen next, this has to be my 2nd favourite anime so far. A must see for all anime lovers!

I can agree that Clannad is an absolutely wonderful series. I started watching the first season when it was halfway through, and I loved it, and I was really sad when the first season finished up. But then I was all caught up in it again when the second season started being released, and it again was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. And if you like Clannad, give Kanon (preferably the 2006 version) a watch! ^^

Aye i got Kanon recommended to me a while back, need to read what its about first. Im still watching Haruhi and Valkryia Chronicles at the moment, i cant believe im still watching haruhi - the most overrated series ever.

But Valkryia chronicles is full of win, although its going into the fantasy side abit more than the real life section. I'ts still got everything in an anime i like though, especially towards the end.

Need to find more anime like Clannad :o

Also, ouran high school host club <--- watch it, you will love it.

Bumping some threads today ain't I?

I watched Paranoia Agent (yes, well after it was shown here - I intentionally didn't watch the last episode since that was on when I first came!) over a few evenings, but mainly on the way to a conference on games. A quirky series, possibly some really imaginative things looking back on it - probably worth a see just because it's quite weird, even though it goes to really, really dark places now and again.

I caught Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei - 5 episodes, basically 2 bookend comedies, and a rather downer 3-part Aesop tale with some twists. I think they compliment the original series okay, but it's rather unsettling to assume some things about when they are set, if you know what happens in the original.

Non-anime, but worth a mention; I'm currently re-watching The Powerpuff Girls (slightly anime-inspired, Craig McCrakken is a god of designers in any case). Not finished yet, but it's getting me through my lunch breaks and battling with website code at home - 6 series' and a film-length one is tough going compared to most short anime series'

I've just finished Code Geass and Code Geass R2. Both were fun, despite the inevitable comparison between Light and Lelouch.

After looking round for something new to watch, I've just started Baccano. I'm going to keep watching, it seems like it's got potential (at least it reminds me of Godfather/Goodfellas which is never a bad thing!).
