I've been watching this show for a while now, and I can't make up my mind whether or not it is an anime. Either way, I love it, but it's annoying. In the programme, signs, tv and magazines have japanese writing on, the animation style is very anime, and it's about rabbit superheroes! The only thing I would say that makes it not an anime is that there's no Japanese version and the credits show that the production is all done in France.

Does it have to be produced in Japan to be Anime? Anime has become quite a generic term, there's brilliant stuff from Korea, China, etc. too. Obviously France may now be included I think it's more how it looks then where it is produced.

That, and the animation is usually actually animated anywhere but where it is made, heh.

That series, man is it anime-esk! Nice smooth simple 3d animation. Confusing as to what was going on (Rabbit superhero team it seems, with clichéd Mad Villain to boot, hehe), no doubt there's some explanation on who the characters are in another episode, although it's not too hard to guess.

But, DDR? A DDR competition? seriously?

Like I say, that was the argument against it being an anime that was being tossed around with a group of my mates. You kind of need to watch a few episodes to understand the characters though. I love Jean-François! I watch it every weekday (Except Tuesday, obviously).
