Great job Martin, nicely written and very well researched. I never knew that they added the filler so late on, but it certainly explains why I lost interest in the late 20s last rewatch. I'm looking forward to AGE 2 ^^

GREAT review!

And I am extremely happy to see that you really enjoyed the English dub. As someone who is in love with ADV's efforts, it has always astounded me that the dub never gets the recognition it deserves; I've seen people say that viewers should NEVER watch it/avoid it/it's crap/lame/whatever, and I seriously can't understand it. Yes, the accents are iffy at times, but the enthusiasm the actors show for their roles are extremely commendable, and it is obvious they loved their characters. (Hey, I've even written a rave review on the dub and gotten kudos from the dub director for my praises.)

I must also agree with you on the matter of the filler episodes: they are indeed awful, especially eps. 26, 32 and 33. And yes, they do indeed ruin the characters' personalities, especially Nadia's. She and Jean were much more likeable and appealing in the canonical episodes. All in all it's a solid show, but drop those awful episodes, and it truly would be a classic.
