If you've got some experience of the original Batman comics, just the thread title should make you groan. For the rest of you, I shall explain. Dick Grayson was the son of a family of acrobats, who goes on to be Batman's sidekick, Robin, after his family dies in dodgy circumstances. There are plans afoot to make a TV series before then, ala the Superman prequel series Smallville.So what we have here is a series based around the least popular character associated with Ol'Bats, with no powers or obvious purpose, where we are just waiting for half the cast to die.

I remember this conversation at the pub and how Robin does not really look as tho he fits into the batman universe. I did forget one thing however.

Nightwing.

Well yeah, there is Nightwing. That wouldn't be a bad way to handle the character is the movies to be honest. Still, the only Batman character with less credibility is Ace the Bat-Hound. That tends to happen if you design a character to be an avatar for its target audience.
