This thread is for discussion of the series "Madoka Magica". Please post comments, worksafe images and general trivia. For those who have seen the series before, please refrain from posting spoilers until the relevant episode has been shown; we don't want to spoil it for the others now do we?

My views of this are sort of mixed as im not too crazy about the 'normal' animation and to be in a building with glass walls between rooms do sort of creep me out.

Despite that, its quite enjoyable to watch, and with these little things aside I am enjoying it.

The parts I am looking forward to the most are the (what I like to refer to as) 'OMFGWTFishappening?' moments. As a Multimedia student they may give some interesting inspiration for my work.

After three episodes, I still don't see why this show has been getting so much attention. Whilst not horrible, I'm just not feeling the story or the characters. And as for the magical girl moments, they look nice, but there's absolutely no meaning behind any of the bizarre Terry Gilliam-esque imagery. I mean: Drugs and candy? Either the creators were either trying to be clever or merely ironic. At best, it's artsy, but at worst it's distracting and completely pointless. I'm not sure if I'm in the majority here, but as of right now, this show is the very definition of "overrated".

After 6 episodes: Madoka is one of the most USELESS characters ever.

I think it got so much attention because it starts of as a normal Shoujo anime (Magical animal/being gives girl magical power to fight baddies, been done lots of times.) Then of course in episode 3 **** hits the fan and becomes not your normal magical girl anime.

If episodes 1 and 2 were the same as what we have seen so far I dont think anybody would be talking about it so much.

Could be wrong though.
