I hope no-one minds me posting these while Richard is away.

This thread is for discussion of the series "Princess Resurrection". Please post comments, worksafe images and general trivia. For those who have seen the series before, please refrain from posting spoilers until the relevant episode has been shown; we don't want to spoil it for the others now do we?

While I pretty much just flat out don't like this series for a variety of reasons, I have a strange fascination for figuring out what classic fictional monsters they haven't dug up to use yet (ho ho!). I've not seen any zombies yet...hmm...

I think most would agree that if you're watching this alone, you'd drop it and move onto something that progressed better. But, as a group showing, it's great. I'm not a fan of the art, the plot (or lack there of) and like Andrew and others, it's become a guessing game each week as to what monster will appear.

When the show goes the basic route with its monsters and their conventions, it's dull. But when they play it up in different ways, it's not too bad. The recent episode of Hiro getting tortured was, to me, hilarious because it was unexpected. Had he just been chained up and left there, it'd been dull. The very least is that it got a good laugh. Also, Sawawa and her ice-cream. Enough said about that. In a monster/kinda horror anime, to see a big breasted bimbo get confused over a love interest while eating dessert, it just doesn't fit, but make the series more bearable.

With 4 more episodes (excluding the OVA's) left, I'm not expecting any sort of ending, but I do expect to see the series reach a new level of ridiculousness, because that's where they get the best reactions.

Whilst I can't say this show is terrible, even at it's best, all it makes me want to do is make me watch better anime. Not exactly the most positive sign.

Everything about the show is pretty average with the episodes ranging from decent to just flat-out embarrassing. I always want to have an open mind, but in all honesty, I'm looking forward to see this series finish, just so we can move on to something better (hopefully).

On the positive side, though: The doctor (a.k.a TF2 Medic) character is hilarious.
