Well, I dunno about you, but I've was pleasently surprised by episode 12, having only seen up to episode 11 before. Bunshichi Tawara's motorcycle chase and subsequent "hulking out" was both funny and unexpectedly awesome.

Yeah, it's easy to overlook Bunshichi. In the manga you start to find out just how powerful he really is...

Well, I don't know about that, but the guy put on a good show last night, certainly. However, I am starting to feel the flashback arc is dragging now.

When I missed NAMSoc for my finals I thought I'd catch up on Tenjo Tenge myself and unfortunately ended up pullingan all nighter watching the whole thing because I couldn't stop, it was like a good book, it's not something I enjoy watching bit by bit because somethings are forgotten which enable it to make sense. I love the story but it is only finished in the Manga the anime does not end the story. In spite of my love for the story and Maya's character I feel that everything seems to be done in completely the wrong way. Did I sign up for 10 episodes of flashback? No. For me there is no climax to this anime which I found to be a crushing disappointment
As much as I love the opening theme, the opening itself I don't think provides a fair reflection of the anime.
When this anime is eventually finished [don't expect it to be anytime soon] I will look forward to the climax, for those who enjoy the series and wish to know more then I suggest you read the Manga as that continues the story but I don't think they've finished that either.

Main problem is it just isn't finished.

A crying shame.
