also Black Lagoon did go out of it's way and offend people, I know some people members who refused to watch it. Different things offend different people it's life.
Anyway onto to discussing Higurashi as a series please ^_^
Personally with the 4 episodes I have watched I have to say I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next episodes.

OK two story arcs in and it has managed to confuse me
but then again this is my standard state of being so not that big a shock
enjoying the fact that there don't appear to be any good guys or badguys, just the criminally insane, and the little clip at the start of each arc doesn't actually mean anything
really looking forward to the rest of this series, and wondering what horrific methods of death are going to pop up next

While I had a bad reaction to this at episode 6, I'm going to give this another try next week. I'm interested to see if it goes beyond its "Groundhog Day from Hell" concept.
