American Voice Actress Caitlin Glass, best known for the role of Winry Rockbell in Fullmetal Alchemist amongst almost a hundred anime roles, shall be attending alongside fellow voice-actress Tia Ballard, who has played Mizore Shirayuki in Rosario + Vampire as well as roles in many other anime.

Candians Twinfools and Vandorwolf shall join Brits KellyJane and TealPirate as our cosplay guests in a world exclusive as Fighting Dreamers and Parle Productions meet one another for the very first time!

Other guests include J-Culture specialist Akemi Solloway, famous Cosplayer Tab Kimpton, retro-gaming music singer Zonic, Edd, Matt and Tomska from Eddsworld, MasakoX from DBZ Abridged, DarkSideInc and many more besides!

Confirmed Activities

Alcon will have everything from an anime night-club, a lot of exhibitors to buy anime goodies from, screenings of the latest anime, an anime bar, artists alley, cosplay cafe, DDRing, a Cosplay Hangout, roleplaying, Card Gaming, late night movies, anime karaoke, parties, live music and much much more.

With the AMV Disco, Rock Night, Masquerade Ball, Glowstick Rave, J-Rave, J-Pop Night, Video Game Party and Final Countdown, there's over TWENTY HOURS (wow) of partying mayhem to be had in the evenings! As well as Twinfools, Nova, KellyJane and TealPirate doing panels and Q&As, we will have Tab Kimpton attending to do a series of workshops and tutorials. Between the five of them, and our regular panelists, we'll be offering a fully packed timetable for cosplayers to learn more about how to put cosplays together. That isn't even counting the cosplay photography courtesy of Cosplay Portrait and the usual staples such as the Cosplay Masquerade, Cosplay Picnic, Cosplay Blind-Date and the Cosplay Auction. If you cosplay you had better plan your day well in advance since there will be so much to do!

As more and more people watch their favourite cult series on youtube and online rather than tv, we continue to lead the way with bringing in the guests you watch online and want to meet! With MasakoX from DBZ Abriged alongside the other abridgers of DarkSideInc and XTheDarkOne, the cosplay youtube stars of Twinfools/Nova and KellyJane/TealPirate and of course not forgetting Edd, Matt and Tomska from EddsWorld (responsible for mega-popular videos such as asdf movie and many more), you'll get the chance to meet face to face all the big names on youtube and the internet at the minute (expect at least one more big-internet guest to come!). The Clan Battle - Ninja v Pirates v Vampires

Three almighty clans line up. Only ONE will win that ellusive Alcon trophy (rumored to contain the convention's soul)! Will it be those sneaky ninjas, those wicked vamps or those pesky pirates? YOU, the member, shall decide! When you register you pick your clan! You are then in that clan, and can earn points for them over the convention to help them toward victory! Points are calculated by who wins events, who helps out, and so forth! Your conbadge will reflect which clan you are in.

The clan idea sounds like it's going to be highly unbalanced. I'm afraid that my Pirates are looking at last place before the whole thing even starts. Otherwise, I might check this out.

I went in 2008, I remember that the laser quest was definately one of the best I've ever been to. Nothing like 30 otakus running a muck in the pitch black. What I didnt like was the parties ending at a set time because the bar had to close, boo -_-. I think there was also a lack of tech help. There was one guy doing everything. The halls of residence were the best thing since Opal at Ame the same year[pretty good if you dont know what I'm talking about]. The parties at the halls of residence were pretty epic too. I was a pirate and we won the clan war. I went to one of Akemi's seminars, did the masquerade and drank to my heart's content. I liked their set up of the accomodation too except for communal bogs. XD

I'm going to this (please don't hate me). Is there anyone else doing it this year?

Also would it still be a good idea going for Fushi as well? Three cons in two months might burn me (and my wallet) out.
